Meet Archbishop Tony

 Archbishop Tony is married to Heather and lives in Sacramento California, where he leads the Ecumenical Catholic Mission of St Anthony of Padua.  He is a former Roman Catholic Franciscan friar and priest (ordained 1987), and served as a pastor and chaplain to a religious community before leaving the Roman Catholic Church in the mid-1990s. He has worked for over 30 years as a mental health counselor, a counselor and addictions professional at San Quentin State Prison in California, where his clients included the inmates on Death Row, Adjustment Center and Administrative Segregation. He was an adjunct instructor at  the University of San Francisco and the University of California - Berkeley Extension teaching Group Therapy and Forensics. Presently he teaches addiction studies at InterCoast College, Elk Grove, CA, and has a private practice (accepting patients) in Addictions Counseling, Forensic Evaluations for the RDAP-Federal Program, and is a Certified Life Coach, Life Coach Supervisor, and Trainer. 

Archbishop Tony holds the degrees of Associate of Arts from Bucks County Community College, Newtown, PA, Bachelor of Science from East Stroudsburg University, PA, Master of Divinity from the Catholic Theological Union, IL,  Master of Arts from Liberty University, VA, Doctor of Ministry from The Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary (Palmer Seminary), PA, Doctor of Psychology from California Southern University, and Doctor of Divinity from European-American University.

      Archbishop Tony enjoys playing the banjo, mandolin, piano, and guitar and woodworking.  He is also a high ranking Black Belt in Judo and Jujitsu and is the All Japan Jujitsu International Federation's Technical Director for Judo in the United States of America, as well as a member of the United States Judo Association.  He has published his Doctoral Dissertation entitled: "System's Centered Judo Therapy: Group and Individual Therapy for the Treatment of Anger, Anxiety and Depression."  There are other publications on forensics and treatment. It should be noted he is not a licensed clinical psychologist, but dedicated his professional acumen to becoming a Licensed Addictions Counselor and Certified Life Coach.

         For hobbies he enjoys playing diverse musical instruments and is a Certified Advanced Open Water Diver (PDIC).
